Jazz is life and also a wonderful adventure: you never know what’s going to happen!<\/p>

Time and time again, you experience how jazz musicians of different nationalities meet and something completely new emerges from these sometimes very chance encounters – in real time. In order to find a common musical language, they open up, respect and listen to each other. Each person brings their own experience to the table. All these different stories, preferences, personalities and moods come together in jazz and are poured into a new form. That’s why jazz can be anything, including pop, rock, world music, classical, avant-garde.<\/p>

As with all art, the audience is an important energetic part of this process. The concert offers a firework display of impulses and artistic visions, communication, humanity and togetherness in the truest sense of the word. Anyone who has ever been to a jazz concert knows how inspired and alive you leave, regardless of whether it was your new favorite band or not.<\/p>

Sparks & Visions presents a diverse program over three days in the aesthetically pleasing setting of a 220-year-old theater. Eight bands, consisting of top-class musicians from a total of 12 countries, will showcase a wealth of sound colors and styles, creating a frenzy of impressions and emotions. <\/p>

Anastasia Wolkenstein lives and works in Regensburg. She is the owner of a booking agency for contemporary jazz, represents her artists worldwide and has twice been a member of the main jury of the German Jazz Award, which honors national and international artists.<\/p>

In January 2023, she organized the first edition of Sparks & Visions, which received a nomination for the German Jazz Award as Festival of the Year in 2024. In 2023 and 2024, she was also artistic director of the international festival Jazz&TheCity in Salzburg. <\/p>
